Is it in full sun? I'm in 7a as well and my green laceleaf always tends to get a bit of leaf burn by the end of the summer (sun from 11-2). The leaves won't recover this year, but it should leaf out like normal next spring. Keep it watered, and if it's getting too much sun, consider planting it in a shadier spot.

Thanks, It's in the shades in the afternoon. I am going to rip the badly burned leaves off. it won't look good in the fall. Hopefully, everything would be fine next season.

Interesting. My Red Dragon is one that doesn't burn in full, horrible, 90 - 100F Southern Maryland sun. That said, my Iijimi Sunago, Dis. Nigrum, Garnet, Berrima Bridge, and Brocade all look like that with sunburn. I just keep 'em watered and make a note that when they go in the ground, it won't be in the sun. Sad. I only have sun.

@CEFreeman_GW There might be other variables at play. Maybe I should've watered it since the beginning of the summer. Lately, I have kept watering it every other day in the morning. Will see how it will react as the season progresses.
