Tomato Virus Outbreak, FYI

Just wanted to pass along some info I just got from my grandfather--if you're in the Inland Empire in SoCal an experiencing tomato plant issues, you may have a soil-bourne virus. The UCR extension is reporting that the tumbleweeds in the area are spreading a virus that kills tomato plants.

So--kill any tumbleweeds ASAP and contact the Extension if you've got questions. As I understand it, there's not much you can do if your soil got infected. My parents and grandparents gardens got infected and their tomato plants are toast. No signs yet that it kills peppers or tomatillos.
