Is 3500 sqf enough for a $2M + single family house in a fancy downtown

Bellevue downtown in great Seattle area is a nice area with fancy shops, restaurants, condos and hotels. The land is 11000 sqf purchased at $1.3M, walkable to all core locations, quiet and private. What is the ideal size for a single family home with a fixed budget? The bigger the better, or just the right size with all the fancy features? Is 3500 sqf enough for a family of 3 or 4, or it must be over 4000 sqf just because it'll be a $2M + house when finished? What's the balance between size and features for a million dollar house?

3500 is enough, I want the fancy features
the bigger the better, add the bells and whistles later
Focus on making it truly luxury, even 3500 sqf is too big
