They should be OK as long as the temp does not go below 15 f., although if they have green growth tips those will be burned below 30 f.

google a product called Cloud Cover. It helps protect in light frosts.

The panache is my favorite for the exquisite smell of the leaves alone:)

Yeah I notice the smell all over me after I touch it. Strong and different. I like it. Still doesn't beat my different Desert Willows, after a rain storm their aroma is intoxicating and it permeates the whole yard.

Last year was the first time to get figs on my panache and they were a little bland. I have read and been told panache will never taste as good as it is in California, but sure is fun testing and having in the collection.

My panache made maybe 5 figs this year. I got it at Home Depot in May but it has tripled in size since then. They tasted ok, but I've only tasted my first non-Newton fresh fig this year and that was a kadota. The panache was slightly less sweet. I've since added a number of varieties and I hope that they all have that same scent:). We don't get much rain here.....
