A generous fig tree owner noticed me fighting the fig beetle for these and gave me a cutting

Congratulations! Did these come from your cutting? I rarely get to taste mine. I wait for them to ripen but critters get them before me mostly. Now and then I get one or two. Yours look great! Did you sprinkle herbs on them?

They came from the mother plant. You have to pick figs before there fully ripe to get some.

Sounds good! Love fennel! Today I picked one ripe Alma, one ripe Hardy Chicago and one ripe LSU Gold. Sorry, no photos. Just popped them in fresh off the tree. Yum!
