I like the idea of pattern layering here - the blue green is a great color to layer. I would want to vary the depth of color - either find a print with a little of this deep color, or try a solid that was a softer blue green in the same tone but lighter shade. If you are ready for pattern - there are so many things you can do. You want a larger pattern repeat and decide how contemporary or transitional you want the result to be.
