Cayenne

About 2months ago I got 2 cayenne pepper plants from the store, transplanted them into the ground from the container. Both plants produced 1 pepper each about 6inches long. I cut them off the tree when they were still green.

and it looked like new peppers were coming in. But they both stopped reproducing. The new ones that looked like they were coming in have been the same size for 2weeks.

its like my plant is on strike!

what should I do? Give up on them or is there still hope?
