    Hello and thanks for the question. I never seal my copper. Copper needs to be professionally treated with a patina. The metal is considered alive, so sealant will come off. Also I don't want sealant to contaminate food. We've been drinking from copper plumbing pipes all our lives so I believe raw copper is safe. Copper is also known to fight germs.
