Dormant Period (Z6)

I have two 5 year old Chicago figs in pots that I bring into my garage in the winter after their leaves fall. This year I grew other varieties like Brunswick, Brown Turkey, Black Fig, Celeste and Conadria. I was wodering if they also need a dormant period like the Chicagos. Thanks

Yes they will act similar come late fall with leaf drop according to your weather.

They will also need to be stored in garage.

martin. have you ever tried extending the season of your figs by bringing them in before the weather gets cold?

Yes many years back in and out of garage late fall with an unknown but the few figs left on that did ripen were not very good.Tree is long gone.
