We are getting set to replace our kitchen after a promise by my husband when we bought the house 9 years ago! Over the years we subbed all the appliances 1 at a time with Kenmore Elite. I'm not happy how gas cooktop has held up. The knobs got wrecked and the stainless steel top has scratches and cooked food bits that just don't come off. I'm considering replacing it with an induction cooktop. Does anyone have a recommendation? Many have a SS border. Does food get trapped? Is a rimless one better? Do you know if you can install an oven under the cooktop? Any suggestions for a hood? Thanks!
