I have never rooted anything in coir and am not sure if you can rinse the stuff off the roots, but cutting roots are easily untangled by soaking in a bucket of water. I think coir may be too stiff of a medium to do that, but I don't know. I see no reason why you can't put them in the same size pots till spring, unless you are talking solo cup size (too small). When they go dormant, they won't be growing anymore, so you could try. Why do you need so many of the same kind of tree?

The other three are different varieties. And I honestly didn't think I would have success with the cuttings I took from the neighbor's bush. It is kinda like tomato plants....I can't kill them now that they appear to be still living. I have plenty of acreage to set them out once they are growing well next year. I tried the coir (the stuff that comes in a brick) because 1) I had it and didn't have any perlite 2) it drains well yet still holds moisture - something I read was important. Thanks for the soak in a bucket trick. I am going to try to separate and repot. I think they will be fine in the smaller pots till spring. We only have a couple more months before fall then frost which should slow growth.
