Ah that's good to hear thanks again tracy - and there was me thinking whoever started this forum up would be in some far away land drenched in sun surrounded by gorgeous Adeniums lol glad to hear it ain't just me trying to start out growing adenium in the not so sunny UK :)

Phil, Many of us are growing in the same or similar conditions to yourself, but Gill, Averil, Brian & Dragonadenium, possibly others can definitely assist with your climate. Glad you found us.

Hello Phil :)

I started growing Adeniums almost three years ago - with no previous knowledge of growing from seed ! I used a heated propagator (a long narrow "windowsill" one) for germination. I have a couple of extra lights (full spectrum, one warm daylight, the other cold daylight). All of my Adeniums are indoors, on the windowsill of a warm room.

I have some shelves on the windowsill - out of necessity ! I have grown other caudiciforms/succulents from seed since I started with the Adeniums...and bought a few other older plants too.

Hi dragonadeniums, like to pic and good to hear and see someone who grows them with artificial light indoors, as I love looking online at the Thai growers with them outside in the sunshine and only wish we got a share of it lol

I bought my first batch of seeds from the UK website AdeniumStore with mixed success.

I will get more seeds to try in the near future prob from one or two of the sellers mentioned on this forum and see how I fair, I know you wait longer for delivery but they are much cheaper to buy

Hi Phil, just found this thread so thought I'd pop in and admit it was I who with the valuable support of interested members got the forum up and running a few years ago :) Adeniums were being talked of in the cactus & succ, the tropical and also the plumeria forum so it was difficult to gather all the info posted so I managed to get enough interest for the site (then known as GardenWeb) to start our own forum for us enthusiasts. We now have a great bunch of helpful folks here who are very willing to part with knowledge, tips and even plants as many of us have found out. I have made some good online pals also, and I Am grateful for their friendship despite the oceans that sometimes separate us. I.'m sure you will gain good info and your plants will go on to thrive. Great to have another UK grower on board!

PS, forgot to mention Phil, I was in a sun drenched Bangkok when I saw my very first Adenium, I had no idea what it was though but it got me hooked, I was determined to try and grow one....and the rest is history!
