Oh, that's what the beans are for... Here I thought maybe you were going on vacation/holiday and didn't want them to get hungry while you were gone :)

All joking aside, I say if it works go for it! The box looks like it will certainly do what it's supposed to and with LED I hear you don't have to worry about burn from the lights which is good.

I hope those bean cans are empty, otherwise you may have a bean explosion all over your plants. Sorry, bit of my odd humor. Just curious also.

Things we do to get Adeniums to grow well :)

Hi Phil, I'm also in UK I've grown 20 plants from seed. During their first winter I made a set up like yours with a large plastic box and a light suspended in to it. They continued to grow throughout winter but in their second year I let them go dormant and they survive really well on a south facing windowsill. Summer (huh what summer?) I keep them in the greenhouse. Your plants look nice and cosy

Hey averil glad to hear from a fellow UK climatly challenged person lol am sure there are plenty more around the world on here too

I think I might try my luck with a grow tent too when I can afford one and research them a bit more too

I sadly don't have a proper greenhouse but have a couple of them small 2 tier greenhouses things with the clear plastic covers over them for my adenium and cacti I also have and they seem to be doing OK

I might even sell off or trade some cacti to concentrate more on adenium as I have really fallen for them although none I have really look as spectacular as other peoples on here but I am still new to this game lol and have just come across the grafted plant catalogue that rinoa has.....Oh my what gorgeous plants available.

Have you any pics of your Adeniums averil? Just changed soil last week in some of mine from soil and pearlite to coir and pearlite/grit.
