Mosaic Tiles Turned Black

We had these mosaic tiles installed last week. After a few days they started turning black. They are supposed to be copper and silver. Floor and Decor claimed it was the thinset that was used. Versabond was used. There was an extra piece of tile with Versabond on it from last week. That tile looks fine. Could the grout do this? Bad manufacturing? Any advice is appreciated.

Looks like a reaction between the thinset and the color compound on the back of the tiles. The installer should have read the instructions from the tile manufacturer to prevent that from hapening. You can contact the tile comapny and ask them which thinset they recommend and see if that is what the contractor used. If the contractor was at fault they should have to fix it. If they are not then you should have the tile company replace your tiles at their cost.

When dealing with any metal you have to be careful of discolorations from adhesives. Sorry this happened.
