Poppy germination?

I've been trying to grow poppies from seed for months and I can't seem to get them right. Can someone help? Any tips for getting them to germinate would be swell. Thank you!

I'm in Puerto Rico zone 12/13 and I ve been trying with "Oriental red" and with a "Mixed perennial" mix packs.

Ps. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. I wasn't sure where to post it.
