Carlton is a similar size and color to King Alfred. I prefer it as it lasts longer.

Just thinking that maybe you would like some early blooming daffodils, some medium blooming ones and some late blooming ones.

That is a good idea. I didn't think about that. I ended ordering 60 gigantic star daffodils. They seemed like just what I was looking for, and I plan on planting them in groups of 5. I'm not sure if they are early, medium, or late bloomers.
