These are not pre-treated to resist rust, but so long as they do not come in regular contact with the elements, they will last for years without rust. For full protection you might consider spraying them (or any metal you put outside) with a rust-resistant clear spray. You can find it anywhere spray paint is sold. Thanks! - Aspire Home Accents
