Has Anyone Seen Cambria's Two New Marble Look Engineered Quartz?

I'm in the middle of a kitchen remodel and I've been following Cambria. I've been considering their Torquay for my Natural Walnut base cabinets. I saw they just release this week two new cool looking Marble Look Engineered Quartz countertops Brittanicca and Ella. Has anyone seen them in person yet? If so what do you think? Here is a link to their website with info on these two new color choices: http://www.cambriausa.com/new-design/

in general, what color of white Sherwin-Williams paint goes best with the Brittania quartz? I've tried many colors and so far Alabaster white seems to be closest?

your kitchen looks amazing, I plan to use a Britannica also. what color of paint did you use on your cabinets?

We have chosen Ella for our new construction home but struggling with a back splash. We have white cabinets and a dark wood floor. We would like to stay in the beige/grey area more towards beige wall paint open to suggestions as well as backsplash. Have used Cambria paint app but Sherman Williams is preferred ..

Cambria the pictures you posted with the Ella . Can you share what the name of the backsplash is in first picture above .

Happy Football Season to All! Wanted to chime in on the paint question. Sherwin Williams Alabaster White is fantastic with Britannica.

What color white in the Benjamin Moore brand would you advise with the Britannica?

    Julie Olsen park city realtor,

How are you liking your Brittanica countertops after two years?,
  • 8 years ago
    Stoufmason,

Did you inspect the slab prior; in other words you chose the exact slab to be used?
    Ontra Stone Concepts,

In third pic, where is the seam as it appears a slab was used and therefore no seam on corner?

Has anyone used Seagrove or Roxwell for an island and have any pictures?

    TH D,
    Beautiful kitchen!
Where are the pendants from or brand? Love them.
What size is your island and ceilings?
    Thanks!

    Ontra Stone Concepts,

    Photos posted on 2/18/17:
There appears to be no seam where the two perimeter/perpendicular to each other, counters meet.
Correct? If so, how was this accomplished?

Do you know dimensions of island?

    Cambria,

Dealers more times than not so not have the jumbo slabs to view, only a 12x12. It is generally somewhere else they order and have it fabricated.

Dealer locator has been unsuccessful does me thus far to view slabs.

    Suggestions?

    Karma...our island will be 90” by 63”!
Could you fit four people instead of three on the long side of your island?
I know they say 24” per person, so I am 6” short and you are 7”....just wondering if it is possible with the 89-90”.

Most counter or bar stools range from 18" to 22" seat width. You should be able to put four across. Not sure if your counter is open ended, if so, when guests actually sit down, those on the ends could scoot to ends/corners. Best of luck!

    English Pointer Interiors,
Thank you. I actually have open ends on either side so two per side can be added. Nice to know I could seat four if needed on long end thought.

Hi queeni1951, all of our slabs come from Le Seuer, Minnesota. They are then fabricated in one of our five Fab Shops across the country. We do send out full slabs to some dealers for them to display, but not all of our dealers order these. We offer a Full Slab View on each individual design page, though.

    Cambria,

Will you share the five locations, please?

    Thank you.

    queeni1951,

Four people would probably work it if you had the right stools, but it would still be a tight fit. Also, depending on how your island and kitchen is laid out, squeezing in four stools may look crammed. But I guess you can always keep three stools there and add a 4th as needed for entertaining, etc.

Thinking of using Cambria Highgate but I’m having trouble matching it with a backsplash. Anyone here used highgate?

debipeled7, we recommend pairing it with a gray or white backsplash. Here is an example of Highgate with white subway tile: https://www.instagram.com/p/BdnJLSPgoae

    Cambria,

I saw Brittannica Warm slab and loved it! I hope to use in our new build kitchen but am stumped on what white paint color for my kitchen cabinets to use with it.

    Any suggestions?

Queeni1951, we're happy to hear you loved Brittanicca Warm! For white cabinetry we recommend going with a warmer, cream-tone as a stark white might not pull out the warmth of the design. Distant Gray by Benjamin Moore may be an option, but we always recommend getting samples and going with your personal aesthetic.

Cambria, we have a large kitchen (28' x 16') and we are embarking on a kitchen reno. We will have an approx. 5' x 11' island plus a lot of perimeter counter. We are thinking of doing either Summerhill on the perimeter and Brittanica on the island or vice versa. The island cabinets will be grey and the perimeter cabinets white. Will those two options go well together or will Summerhill be too busy? We live in Ontario. I'm assuming our slabs will be fabricated in Toronto. Would we be able to see them first?

Hi, we recommend going to see slabs if you are in the Toronto area. You can call the dealer to find out which slabs they have available to view: CambriaUSA.com/dealer-locator.

Question for the Cambria person - I went and saw Warm Brittanica today and loved it. We have 2 islands so the person at the showroom suggested maybe doing Warm Brittanica on the islands and doing ironsbridge on the perimeter. What do you think?
    Lewormouth,

I’ve seen both and would suggest you consider if the Ironsbridge is a cool palette or warm like the Brittanica Warm. I personally would want to stay with either cool or warm.

Lewormuth, many of our designs were made to be complementary. We recommend you see the designs in-person and take samples home to see how they would pair in your space!

Ontra Stone Concepts- How is that 90º corner handled (referencing photo on your post dated Feb 8, 2017)? I don't see a seam. But if it were a full slab, wouldn't the pattern be perpendicular as it turned the corner? Very curious how such an obvious horizontal pattern is handled at the corner.

Hello Angela Smith, we recommend a color similar to Silver Satin by Benjamin Moore with Annicca.

    Hello Cambria,

For Britannica, would you recommend white or off-white cabinets?

    Definitely white

Check out Young House Love (Sherry & John) on IG, FB and/or their website. They have Britannicca in their kitchen! They have a blog about the entire reno.

I also have a quartz very similar to that called Alpha by LG Viatera on my island (with white cabs).
