If you go with a white or very light stone product for your countertop, I would use the same stone for the backsplash.

Oh this is neat! It makes me think of a modern twist on coastal style. I'm really loving your floor, too! Check out Calacatta Marble for countertops. A less expensive choice with the same look would be white granite with gray veins. You could take it up the wall & use it as a backsplash, too. Or else, I think it would be neat with white subway tile as a backsplash. Good luck!

White counters and LARGE white tiles for backsplash. White counter height stools at island would brighten that area without having to change the island color. Wall color, check BM's Edgecomb Gray and SW's Shoji White.

We will go for the white counter tops, white walls and backsplash. Not so sure about subway tiles but definitely a white backsplash.
