We are in the process of kitchen remodeling. We were thinking of going contemporary design and doing the following

1. Cabinets: Cherry in natural color- Shaker style

2. Floor Ceramic/Porcelain in Dark color (not jet black but more like dark dark brown or some thing like that)

3. Counter tops-Granite or Quartz (more likely Quarts : two tiered, main working area counter top is in light color (like french/egg shell white). the 2nd part is bar height serving area, which going to be dark color. More like black

My questions are:

a. Does the color combination will well together and compliment each other or there is to much contrast.

b. I am open to changing color or material.
