I'd consider adding mulch to help blend in the browns in your stacked stone.

I like the look of mulch but the gardener blows the front yard and the mulch doesn't last. Thanks for your input.

I'd worry about rock constantly spilling over onto your walkway. Since you already have brick and concrete elements, consider using either or both to create an extended patio area.

You can purchase concrete squares. Put down squares in any design you like. But lock it all in with a border made just for that. It will keep concrete from shifting ie lawnmower hitting them, torrential rain. A larger 1 1/2 or 2' squares would look nicer than the smaller 12" sold everywhere. I have more ideas but that's the least work and money.

Oh, also use a weed barrier under whatever you do. Wood shavings, pavers etc. it will make the difference between a nice finished look or a future weed nightmare.

It would look really charming with some brick or slate pavers to coordinate with your existing materials. Maybe u could extend it out to your existing slate. I would move the bird bath to another area and add a side table and some flower pots. Nice home!
