Fiscus ginseng shrunken trunk

last modified: 11 years ago

Ive had my plant for a little less than 2 years. It lives on a south facing window sill, in a clay pot with drainage hole, it's watered when soil is dry and fed every 2 weeks at the moment as its summer.

the poor thing has three problems.

1. It's lost half its leaves on the one side.

2. It's trunk looks shrunken

3. It has this crack where the bark seems to be flaking at the top before the branches.
i repotted it a few weeks ago when I noticed the leaf problem and the trunk problem. It was root bound in its store pot with its original soil. But I didn't remove all the old soil, and trimmed the roots back a little.

If anyone has any advice Id be really greatful. I have terrible luck with plants despite all my research to try and keep them alive. this little one seems to be sprouting new branches and leaves despite it all.

Thank you for reading.
