Any Entomologists Among Us?

My very first inflo from a few weeks ago seemed to get dry and brittle. The flowers fell prematurely and it appeared to want to just dry up. I have been keeping the soil a bit on the moist side and the inflo seems to be pushing additional blooms now. This little critter just will not go away even though I have sprayed a couple of times with insecticidal soap. He doesn't appear to necessarily be doing any damage, but I am trying to give the plant the best chance to produce additional flowers. Looks like something from a Sci-Fi movie and he has taken up permanent residence on the inflo.
