Hi! Thank you for your question. Solid surface holds up extremely well. Specifically in a shower such as the one shown, there are no grout lines to clean, no edges that could become moldy, and no chance of water going anywhere except down the drain. The floor is sloped evenly for proper drainage and since it is built to fit your space, you will often gain room as it does not need to meet standard sizes. Every job is custom made to meet your size, color and product specifications. I have been building showers for over 25 years and have never had a complaint from my clients.

As for staining, solid surface is non porous, so nothing penetrates the material. However, if you have hard water or high iron content, you might see surface material, but it can be easily dealt with by using a Scotch Brite pad that you find at a supermarket. Care for solid surface is much easier than you would find with other products which could become permanently stained.
