My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Lilo, I don't know anything about chickens and their habits, but I commiserate with you that yours aren't laying. What, if anything, will need to be done to get them started? (Please excuse my ignorance, but I'm a 'city girl'!
Your poem was very enjoyable; it proves it doesn't take a lot of words to explain things.
The daylight hours generally influence egg-production, they don't lay much in November through January. The brutal heat this summer may have had an affect. But my flock is getting elderly, that slows them down, serious chicken farmers transform them into chicken-soup and stewing hens, but Joann and I don't, they live until they die naturally. Need to get some young ones next spring.
Lilo, I know the feeling. Running to the grocery to get eggs while the birds at home take their rest and also not only on account of the wintertime. Love your poem.
There is an "egg" issue all over the place. Don't know what it is, but it is driving the egg prices up dramatically in the grocery stores. DH and I had a sticker shock at & $7.99 for 18 eggs.Enjoy your eggs while you can.
