I thought "bungalow" as well. Congrats on your first house and the wisdom of buying an old house! Built much better back then!

Bungalows do not typically have a second story, IME.

Here's the definition of bungalow google turned up:

But I'm not sure I would call that a bungalow. Some kind of Mediterranean revival?

Thank you all for your responses. The house is in Orange County California. I think the minimal traditional is probably it. I have had people say Spanish and Mediterranean, as well as bungalow, but I never thought those were right on. Either way, I am happy and enjoy my "old house". Although it has been pretty crazy hot this summer.

Hmm, I think I would have called it a ranch-style house, due to the shape of the footprint. Cute house!

Yep, Oaktown got it, at least for where we live that is a traditional styled ranch.
