you need to spray every few weeks and us different sprays, forbid and avid work ok but the plant quickly out grow what was sprayed , I also use neem ,Bifen, I fertilizer my plants with systematic rose food, but it works best for aphids and leaf hoppers but it does slow down the mites

I hoes the whole plant down with the hose when I water them spider mites hate to get wet

some people use predatory mites that eat the bad mites
