I'd hang a beautiful tray on it. Have you thought about adding more cabinets above your existing ones? Glass front ones would be nice.

how about a beautiful collection of tin tole trays...... if you go with the trays (which are usually not too heavy) you can probably hang them from removable adhesive hooks, and the size of the trays would allow you to use multiple hooks for strength. You can also buy adhesive plate hangers at the Container Store to attach to the back of the trays. Together these products would guarantee that you wouldn't have to put holes into the brick. I would love to see black trays with fruit arrangements, they would play up your black counters and warm colors........I recently considered using them for a project in my house and found a ton of nice old trays on Ebay......It's a great feature, have fun with it!

It would have been nice if the black (?) counter could have continued, but narrowed to follow the outside line, all the way across the front of the brick with black corbel type brackets. Higher above that I would hang two tall wooden exterior shutters tight together to appear to be closed, painted your wall color or black gloss. You could add black shutter hinges (they sell fake ones in shutter department).
