Morning glory

I grew MG two years ago. It has sprouted up in my yard last year and this year. I'm not sure if I'm really liking it though. It seems to be invasive. Anyone else grow MG? Should I yank out the plants? The variety I grew is a purple one, Grandpa Ott, maybe.

Yay! What I've been trying to say is that if the flowers on the plant you are dealing with are purple, the original plant reseeded. If the flowers are a different color, you may be dealing with a weed that mimics the appearance of MG. Try posting a picture of the present plant(s) on the Name That Plant forum and see what gets said there about it.

Morning glories are notorious for reseeding, per all the forums I've read....they are lovely, and I grew my first this year but chose to grow them in a container; Nearing the end of their flowering cycle and many leaves yellowing despite daily watering, I harvested seeds and we removed them. I suspect your morning glories reseedefd all over. If you're not liking it, pull it out hopefully before it can get ahead of you
