The picture looks like P. 'Blue Bouquet', or P. amethystina. Neither of these set fruit very easily and neither of these would have a fruit that would be very tasty.

I found one fruit on my vine. I ordered this flower from Amazon. I then picked a flower from my neighbor and tried cross pollinating.

I agree with holzinger, doesn't look like p.caerulea, most definately looks like p.'Blue Bouquet'. I have both plants side by side.

Getting the wrong plant happens sometimes. Here is a pic of the fruit.

It is very common for plants to be improperly labelled. I see improper photos all over ebay for plants that are not describing the plant in the photo. The big box stores are equally as bad. p.caerulea will turn orange when ripe. I can attest that neither plant sets fruit easily, so whatever you have, might be interesting. Good luck.

I have another species of passion that has orange fruit. It is invasive, so it is in a pot. Here is a pic. The vine of discussion doesn't have any sign of invasive ness.

The "invasive vine" is P. caerulea. I still think the photo above is P. 'Blue Bouquet'.

I found the signs of being invasive. The fruit I opened was sterile. I removed the entire vine. Now I will fight the root suckers.
