New master bath

We are closing on a house with a tiny master bath. It is 6' deep and 5' wide. Currently, the door is on the right side with a 24" x 22" vanity next to it. Directly across from the door is a 36" corner shower. Facing the door at a 45 degree angle is the toilet. It is extremely cramped and unappealing. Help!

We have a large bathroom down the hall so it isn't the only bath in the house, thankfully.

Tell us what is behind each wall? Maybe there is a closet you can steal space from?

Big question is budget. Are you willing to push the space outside the house's perimeter?

Behind the back of the bathroom is our daughters room, to one side is the entrance to our room, and the other side has the only closet in the room (also only 5' x 6').

As to pushing outside the perimeter, that is not possible. The bathroom is at the end of the hall which runs down the center of an earth contact home.

If the existing shower is an acrylic/fibreglass enclosure, you should be able to gain a few inches with a tiled shower.

In your opinion is there any extra space available? Or is 5 by 6 all the space there is?

Floating vanity showing more of the floor will expand the feel. And keep the colors neutral and the same throughout.
