Totally normal, fig trees respond to their environment by altering their leaves based on an adaptation called plasticity. Fast growing branches form the outer canopy, where deeply lobed leaves benefit the plant by letting light an air into the interior. Slower growing interior branches are more likely to be less lobed, or completely "entire" like your central growth. Trees have no thought or will to control this so sometimes the mechanisms that regulate it go a little wacky.

Thx hoosierbanana I have about 10 figs in containers, even tho I'm a newbie...I had never seen this before and was a little concerned. Glad there's nothing to worry about!

This is why it's hard to ID a fig from just leaves. All fig trees have a few different shaped leaves!
