A lot of you know I am fighting myasthenia gravis. On Thursday, I went to the neurologist and she confirmed what I suspected - that the medications I am taking for MG are no longer working, or at least not doing so very well. On Sept. 15, I will see a doctor at UAB who is a specialist on this disease and with some luck he will be able to come up with some other medications to treat this. I do know there are several other immunosuppresants that can be used to fight the symptoms - nothing cures the disease. I do fully expect to be at the swap, but I am certainly glad we are having it at Gadsden. Then again, thanks to our state legislature, it's a very good thing we were not planning to have it at a state park this time!

Anybody have thoughts on what kind of place you want to eat lunch at on Oct. 17?
