My name is Randy and I am starting a new organic farm in southeast OH, Zone 6. We will grow fresh, organic, heirloom varieties of produce and herbs for local sale. Due to the blessing of being offered several acres to farm and the curse of a lack of funds. I need seeds badly. I had only planned to have a plot a fraction of what I have now. I plan to plant a great diversity of vegetables and herbs so anything will be of use, but I plan to focus of course on the old standbys of things like tomatoes, peppers, beans, and herbs etc. for my first year. I am in zone 7 in the high desert of Arizona and pretty new to growing here, and havent saved seeds before. I would love to be adopted and am looking for veggies primarily and interested in heirlooms, different greens including lettuces, sunflowers for shade. Would love to experiment with more unusual varieties. Summers are 100 to 105, very dry until the monsoons come. Winters can be freezing for days or 50s and cold nights. Looking for different unusual squash, have zucchini and butternut and they did great this year. Would also love asperagus roots and know it does well.

I contacted randy about clones for the 2016 season, offered around 100 by time ohio has its planting season start. Tomatoes,peppers, and herbs.

Hi, I just started vegetable gardening last summer. I live just north of Ottawa (zone 4a) and now that winter is here, I'm experimenting with what I can start growing this early inside and move outside come spring/summer. I've made a little indoor greenhouse on a shelf but I'm out of things to plant and none of the stores sell seeds this time of year. I haven't grown with cuttings either. I'm excited to learn what is possible.

I would love to be adopted, I am not fussy about what I get really. Right at the moment I have most of the seeds I need for the veggie garden, but my flowers were a miserable failure last year. I have just a handful of flower seeds I was able to save for use this year. I tend to lean towards the old fashioned type stuff. I adore columbine, but killed every single one of them before they ever got a chance to bloom. :( I have a rather large area, with different conditions. I have slopes both in sun and shade. And about a quarter acre that is flat and blank. That is where the veggie garden will be, and I really want to add in flowers to keep the bee's happy. I thank you in advance for adopting me :)

Hello everyone, my name is Chris. I'm new to Houzz, but have gardening as long as I can remember. Luckily for me, I grew up on a beautiful piece of blue grass in Kentucky with my grandmother. Everyday, I spent my time outdoors working in the ground with my grandmother. She taught me a lot but I wish I could've learned more. After I lost my Nana, I moved to Nashville with a new found love in my life. Years later I'm moving back, and even better, to that same land. I'm starting my own homestead this time, but I need help as I'm just getting started. I'm very grateful for any help and I'm not picky as to what I receive, as I have shade and sunny areas, wet and dry areas. I'm more interested in veggies than anything but will soon have honey bees too so flowers will come in handy as well. Thank you all for your help, and I hope you'll consider adopting me. Hello, I would love to be adopted, if this is still on-going. My name is Stephanie, and I live in Kentucky (zone 6), right along the Ohio River, within view of Cincinnati. I had to leave my home on 3 acres last year, and now live in a house with a very small yard. This will be my first garden of my own, and I am interested in growing heirloom vegetables and LOTS of beans for both snap and dried use. Tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers are of interest too. I am particularly looking for varieties that do well in containers and full sun. Also wouldnt mind some flower varieties to encourage pollinators to visit. I am ALWAYS interested in Sunflowers, if anyone has them, especially kinds that produce large number of seeds. Im not too picky though, would be greatful for anything. Thanks for considering me :-)

Newbie to The Garden Web Here! You guys are great. I am in Indiana in Zone 5. We just moved to a overgrown home last year and have done a lot of work to make it livable. We are trying to make our home sustainable and planting non-gmo. We have plants and flowers that were here when we moved in but many of them I have not identified. I posted a list on my profile. I am looking for vegi and herbs. Our goal is non-gmo permaculture and companion planting. We have a 1/3 acre and lots of projects for the future but for now the gardens are my main focus(he can focus on the house). I would be super appreciative if someone would adopt me and if anyone in central and northern Indianaoe NE ohio wants to coordinate and/or mentor gardening even better. Thank you in advance. Newbie to GardenWeb and new to trading seeds! I am very excited to be a part of this group! We live in MO in Zone 6. I am very new at gardening (only two years old!), and have been trying to grow fresh veggies for our family. It is a priority for me to be able to provide food, for our family, through gardening. We are lovers of lettuce, beans, peppers, tomatoes and onions. Although I've yet to master ANY of them! I want to try celery, leeks and carrots. Although we have a garden plot, this year I am trying to utilize the square foot gardening method (vs row gardening), and am learning about companion planting (trying some of these this year!). My supplies this year are very limited, due to certain circumstances, and I have very minimal seeds from prior years. I am interested in mentoring, as well as seeds. My favorite flowers are Dahlia's, but I love any cut flower. I have yet to explore everything on GardenWeb, but I look forward to spending time searching through the resources! To all of you that contribute to GardenWeb, thank you! This is exciting!

I'm new to seed exchanging and semi-new to GW, this year. Intermediate have, first time growing at home without community. I have some seeds for trade but could really use some help! Check out my profile :)

I'm especially interested in herbs and medicinals, also looking for food plants (veggies, brassicas, annual fruits or cucurbits, maybe some roots depending on size).

NY (Long Island), Zone 7 but summers are getting hotter and wetter here, and our growing season gets longer so zone 8 works too, mostly.
