Ah yes! I have checked out there stuff. I might place an order in the spring. I'm thinking the fall/winter would be a bad time for shipping them. I will send them an email and ask. It seems like buying a plant is cheaper than the seeds.

Also look up a company called 9GreenBox on Amazon. They are selling a plant in a one gallon container for about $20, shipping included. I ordered one, and it should be here by the end of this week. I hope its a decent size.

It's a pretty nice size, right? Ha. I planted in ProMix HP. Watered it once, and I probably won't water it again until February. I also have it outside where it will be exposed to 30 to 50 degrees F. That's supposed to trigger blooming. (I just learned of this chilling period this year. I've been doing it wrong until now.) Hopefully, I get a bloom in the spring.

Great tips! Didn't know about the cooler weather. Those are temps we have now so I think they would do well! I hope it blooms for you!

I have had no problems with her. She packages quite nicely, and has sent an extra plant (lost label) a couple times. they are nice starter plants that will take a couple years to flower, but it beats raising from seed (which I also do) but seeds are

Clivia seed are almost glacial in growth.

Like watching/waiting for the paint peel after a fresh paint job.

It's why we grow other things, like Adenium, which is a trifle faster

Hmmm I might order and give it a try. I'll also look for a larger size to hopefully get blooms faster. What are some sources for larger plants? Clivia USA?

You are correct Dave, Adenium are very easy to grow. I think I can deal with the slowness. I am growing cacti, which can also be pretty slow.
