Miscanthus Gracillimus and grub worms

My Miscanthus Gracillimus was planted this year in June and has not grow at all. A few of the leaves are brown. It is in full sun and receives adequate water. I recently noticed that there are what seems to be millions of tiny grub worms surrounding the plant. There is a dwarf fountain grass planted in the same area that seems to be doing very well. I assume the grubs are more attracted to the miscanthus??? Should I dig it up and replant it someplace else or leave it where it is until the spring? Chicago, Zone 5

Thanks!
