I've had great success with sal's fig as a container grown fig the last couple of years, its the earliest to ripen. they ripen within two weeks. I have other potted trees but I can see they are not meant for container growing, can somebody recommend some white variety for container planting which ripens a little later or a more extended period of time. these potted figs saved me from having none for the last two years with the horrible winters we've had here on long island ny.
