Run off from spraying the plant could get in the soil, but this products most active ingredient is 0.20 percent Sulfur with a smaller amount of pyrethrins, nothing that would cause long term, or even short term, problems with growing edibles.

Devi, hold up. Where are you? It may well be too early to plant garlic now. Might need to wait 4 to 6 weeks and then plant. Have you looked up garlic planting schedule for your area?

By all means mix vegetables into ornamental plantings but don't hold out too much hope for the garlic doing anything to protect the roses.

Hi Elisa, Yeah - I realized it during my further research after posting this. I am in Zone 8 and would need to wait until late October for planting garlic I guess. Thanks
