Want to paint wainscotting in Gary tone and ceiling beams the same. Lighter tone on walls above wainscotting. Also want to paint fireplace white. Not sure what to do with shelves on each side of fireplace
So many grey tones but need warm colour because of couch and floor
Please help with colour. I've been looking at Benjamin Moore Ashley Grey for wainscotting

    I like the current colors--they're very attractive as is your fireplace--I wouldn't paint it either.

    I think a warm cream or tan would work better with your wood flooring and furnishings.
    the hearth brick looks brighter. tiling it with stone could make the contrast work better and look classier than painted brick.
    very curious about rolltop looking cupboards.

    House built in 70's. Behind one roll top is JennAir and the other we use as liquor cabinet

    I feel the beams on ceiling should be a wood color and cream on ceiling. I feel the sides of the fireplace are tight so paint it white with the backs of the storage brown. I agree you need warm colors with the flooring and the brown furniture. Why not wait on painting the fireplace until you paint the wood on the sides to see how it looks. wheat on the walls would look great.

    Thanks for input. I have moved away from grey paint ideas into warm tones and agree about holding off on painting fureplace until painting done
