Post your kitties here!

I didn't want to highjack Pal's thread, but liked Lukki's idea to post kitty pics. It's been awhile, hasn't it!

The other thread reminded me of this pic which never fails to make me giggle. (Random internet bad cat.)

And here's a favorite pic of one of my gang, The Cat Who Thinks He's a Dog, The Little Man in Striped Fur Pajamas -- Pip.

He is! It cracks me up. He knows which windows to find her, every day. She got tired of it one day, and rushed the window, screaming at him .... he just stared and meowed pitifully. :D

Oh, the poor little guy! That is such an excellent story! Although - look at his face as he sits outside the window. He really DOES look a bit stalker-ish, no?

    LOL! Especially here:

That made me spit out my Diet Coke. :D (Which woke Queen Lily, so I got the stink eye.)

My 20 year old and my one year old.

    misc. · More Info

You really never know how two cats will get along. I was lucky. My older cat immediately loved his new sis. He's pretty much a ladies' man anyway.

What perfect, beautiful cats, all of them. We have a cat that likes to lick plastic bags and I have no idea why.

Pip likes to lick metal. He's enjoying tasting the screen on the fireplace as I type.

MizGG - OT, but is that green table part of your line that you sell? It's gorgeous!

    What beautiful cats!

MizGG, we had a cat like your 15yo named Gorgeous. She lived to be 15yo. A friend of my mom saw her on the side of the road and she wasn't a cat person, but knew Mom would take her. She was a sweet girl.

Angel is allergic to plastic, so we have to keep anything and everything plastic out of his sight. He loves to chew on anything that resembles a string, so those things are also off limits.

One of DD2's calico cats licks the walls. We have no idea why. They also "hunt" anything left out that looks interesting, waking her up during the night.

Here are my cats, Hummer and Tigger.

You all have such pretty babies with adorable names!

I am loving all these kitties!

Carolb, Panda's eyes are also light blue vs. the brighter blue of the purebred Siamese.

What wonderful precious kitties we all have. And dog that thinks it's a cat.
We have two Mainecoon cats. They are very dog like and do a few things on demand. I'm sure they'd do more, especially Joey, but I haven't taken the time to train him in more than I need him to do.
The first is Mollee. I wish he beautiful green eyes showed in this picture of her helping us paint the Ladies Parlor. She was our first cat after our beloved Max Cat passed. I just couldn't bear "replacing" him until our daughter suggested to my hubby that it was time and brought this little darling home for me. She was the tiniest 3 month old kitty I had ever seen. That soon changed. She grew so fast I swear we could see the changes from night to morning. The more she grew, the more we knew her name fit it as we often proclaimed "Good Golly Miss Mollee!" in regards to her fast growth.

This is Joey inside the paper wrapping from a couple vases I'd just unwrapped. He knows better than to get up on the table, but the wrap was just too much for him.

And this is little Tommy. We should have named him Timmy because he's super tiny. Especially with the other cats all being huge! Tommy weighs in at 6.3# when the others are 15#s and up. I call this his Roar. He was actually yawning, as I'm sure you'd guess, but since I've called him my Little Lion since his first fall when his mane showed up, it seems fitting to call it a Roar.

And Jazmyn, whom came to us from our daughter who was named Katie after my very first calico kittie. Jazzy flew in from Cali and was quite happy to meet us even though she'd only heard our voices via cell phone conversations. It's a good think Katie had her talk to me on the phone all those times or she may have shied away from me. But once I spoke to her when picking her up at the airport she acted as if she knew me and we'd been long lost friends.

This is how my kitties show me they love me.

Tommy looks like he's just heard a very funny joke! That face! I think I'm in love.

Oh, and you're lucky they leave their heart-shaped sentiments in the food dish. Mine did THIS for me ... (Scroll quickly if offended by dookie!)

What great photos!!! Some have really made me laugh. I hope some lurkers will post too? Hello??? Yes YOU!!!

Such wonderful pictures. I miss my kitties. All 4 are gone now :(

I'm sorry, Boop. They were precious.

Aww. I miss having cats. Like Jen, I am in love with Tommy. Maybe someday I'll have another cat. DH doesn't like them but has put up with two over the years. I don't want him to have to put with any more. Especially since he occasionally talks to others about having a dog - but doesn't want the restrictions they place on one's life. And I would move out if a dog moved it. ;-)

Above is Miss Maggie a Somali and Thomas a Blue Somali. I have one more, a Bengal cat if I can find his photo.

My cats are all over Kitchens and Baths, but since you asked. :)

Linelle, from the same litter? They're gorgeous! Gus likes to cross his paws too.

Cindy, thank you! Yes, fraternal twins. It's like having the same cat, twice.

We used to have two tuxedo cats that were litter mates and the only way to tell them apart was that one of them had a slightly longer white stripe down the side of her nose.

One day we were having some plumbing work done and the plumber saw one of the cats when he arrived and then I know he saw the other one as well because they changed places. One came upstairs and the other one went downstairs to check out what was going on. I was upstairs and all of sudden I hear this yell so I went to check out what was going on. He had been under the sink and turned around to crawl out to see both of them staring at him. Scared him as he thought there was only one cat.

My grandson with his cat, Tank. Tank had cancer in one eye and had that eye removed. Thankfully, they caught the cancer early and, as you can see, Tank is back to normal.

I love boys/men with their cats.

I was only going to post one pic, but when I see how lovely everyone else's pics and kitties are, I couldn't resist adding another...this was last year's holiday card...the girls were a tad younger then, only about 6 months.

    Awe....Annie, that's precious!!!

Ha ha ha Jen! I think I remember your sharing that before. That's hilarious. I'll have to look closer to any "messages" left in their litter box for me from now on. Snort!

Here's a couple more of my favorites of Tommy since the little stole some hearts here.
He may be tiny, but he's not afraid of anything. Even a toddler that kept scooting him from one chair to another over and over on our screened porch where Tommy loves to go in good weather. Tommy proved that even though Owen (our grandson) could keep from being happy on the sunroom, he could find a place where Owen couldn't reach him and he held onto Owen's favorite toy at the time, Elmo that we kept on his changing table in the Gentleman's Parlor. Owen followed Tommy there, but couldn't do a darn thing because Tommy was too high. It was hilarious. Score one for Tommy!

And here's a couple of Tommy in his favorite before and after Christmas spot. Every year Tommy likes sitting in the nativity. The second picture has some of the ornaments the kids decorated one year.

And here he is when we first brought him home. He was just an itty bitty guy without his mane.

Sitting in the nativity? See, he IS very special! ;-D

MizGG, thank you for sharing those table pics! I'd really like to see more of your work. Can you tell me what to search under on CL if you have anything out there right now? I don't think that would be considered spam, since you wouldn't be posting a link, only answering my query. ;-)

Jen, you're so sweet! I don't have anything currently, I'm looking every day for a new piece to do. Vintage furniture prices are crazy lately! We mainly do china cabinets, tables, and chairs. Some chalk painted, some latex, some stain .... and we either wax, use poly, or both (depending on the piece). I'll let you know when I get something done, I really appreciate your interest! I have pics of our sold pieces, just don't want to spam your thread. :D

Oh, please post a few! I'd really love to see more of your work.

MizzG, I'd like to see more of your work too.

Oh what fun. We are major cat lovers and have always had a houseful. I'm enjoying all the sweet photos!

This is Pearl. Gorgeous and she knows it.

    And Inga. She's industrious.

Last winter we got a little carried away with the fisheye lens. I cannot look at these photos without giggling.

Inga is NOT fat. She just wants everyone on the internet to know that. :)

This is Arizona. She has something along the lines of kitty Asperger's Syndrome. Doesn't pick up on social cues, but a very nice lap cat.

This is Indiana. She's the shy one.

Texas in the foreground, with Indiana behind. He's the most irritating of the three. He likes things how he likes them. Texas and Arizona are siblings. Indiana we got later.

This is Mr. Toes. He's the only outdoor cat of the four, and socially manipulative. He's polydactyl, hence the name.

Cameron and Trent. They are not siblings, but they were sharing a cage at the shelter. I had come in to look at Cameron (the tuxedo), but they seemed to be such good friends I had to adopt both.

I am not even a cat person, but I am enjoying these pics so much!! Everyone's cats seem to have such great personalities!

AuntJen and Justgotabme, sorry, just got back on the computer ... give me a bit and I'll gather up some pics. :)

cawaps, love that your cats are named after states! :D

sas, I can't get over how much your kitties look like mine! Must be cousins!

As I write this my kitties are actually PLAYING with each other. Wow.

Justgotabe, Mollie looks just like my big guy Shelby but he has a tiny white spot on his chest. In looking at photos, did you ever think Norweigan forest cat vs. Maine Coon? Of course, he was a stray and I have no idea what he is, but if I google photos of Norweigan forest cat, they sure look like that.

I used to have a Norwegian Forest Cat. OMG, never will I ever get over that cat. He was big and beautiful and followed me around like a dog. I loved him so much. NFC and Maine Coons look so much alike and have very similar characteristics. Since he wasn't a purebred, I decided he was a NFC based on his incredibly sweet features.

I can't have pets, due to allergies (and lack of interest for the commitment of pets), but I love to see your pictures. Thanks for sharing.

GScienceChick, your Shelby does look a lot like our Mollee. Who along with little Tommy are laying on my desk and the tall stool I have as an extension to my desk just for my cats since Joey and Mollee covered up my mouse before I added the stool.
I did research Norwegian Forest cats when I first got Mollee and she grew so fast, but because of her and later Joey's size and the shape of their heads I felt they were more like, at the very least, a Maine Coon mix. Their dog like personalities made me more sure.

Here's a pix I just snapped of the Mollee and little Tommy, the largest and smallest of our cats, sitting on my desk. They are pretty much a pair as are Jazzy and Joey. It's funny how they coupled.
If you look closely, you can see some of cat fur on the area rug, and that my desk top needs refinishing.

I'm digging all these photos & stories too = )

& I forgot to say that I named our kitty Eureka (meaning: I found it).

& olychick - I think of her as a princess kitty for sure...

LOL, justgottabme, we have the Lane Acclaim dovetail for a coffee table and end table. I did buy a glass top for the coffee table. Love the photo.

Linelle, he is very good at fetching and catching, so, yes, some dog-like quality, although nowhere near the "puppy cat" video above.

gsciencechilck, I love my Lane Acclaim as I'm sure you do too. I found a great tutorial online to refinish it and have thought of getting a glass top for it as I know my kitties need to be by me. I love them there until they, usually Joey, messes with my mouse when I'm drawing. I have an Acclaim coffee table too. The low long thing one they call a bench too. My folks had the standard coffee table and two step end tables. My brother took them without asking the rest of us. One of his daughters have them now. She loves them as much as I do so I'm good on that. I'm sure she'd never paint them which would be a mortal sin in my book.

Joey as a kitten. He loved knocking things off the desk that were in his way and even the mouse back in the days when it had a tail. He's not bothered my mouse since I went with a cordless one.
