I have been growing a nepenthes ventricosa for 3 months now. It grows new leaves but never makes a new pitcher. It has one pitcher left that is about to die I believe but the plant looks really healthy. I now picked up a ventrata from a local nursery a week ago I use normal water and it seems to be doing fine. Hasn't lost a pitcher yet but doesn't grow new ones either. Many leaves and pitchers. But only makes new leaves. Help?
First, don't use normal water if it's TDS is below 50. Second, give it more light. You can also LIGHTLY mist the leaves with orchid food mixed at 1/4 of the rate on the container to help Initiate pitchering.
