My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Soap Niche Alignment

I love the layout and the shelves on the niche. I was just curious to why you didn't line up the edge of the niche with the tile grout lines to make an even clean line going straight down. Was there water lines or other things in the wall preventing you from lining that up?

    Thank you for your comment Charnell! The soap niche in my drawings was a couple inches to the left so that its right edge was aligning with the tiles. This is a detail that made me regret not being on site when it was built :(

    I completely understand how that goes. I made our guys recut this niche because it didn't look right. Unfortunately, it couldn't be completely fixed due to the plumbing lines behind the wall so we did our best. I was just curious if this is a common thing and how others have worked around it.

    Well it only happened to me once:) now for all my projects, the builder, tile guys and I do spend a "little" time together to review every details BEFORE they start.
