I find that the smaller pot or even a water bottle with at least 6 holes in it works much better since heat will help it grow. I only water once and then mist now and then but it does not need that much water to get it started. If I was you I would dig it up and put it in a smaller pot and check the bottom of the cutting and see what is going on. This works for some people and other people use different methods but this works best for me. It is also harder to start cuttings this time of year. I like to start them in early March but then I am in So. California. Good luck, Barb
