Yes it can. Please keep two things in mind.

1. This is a 16 sft pattern - which means all tiles of various sizes have to be arranged in the exact same way as shown so that it can interlock into each other on all 4 sides. In other words if you do not have a clear rectangular floor for its installation you might need to order more for the cut outs.

2. This is a natural stone in Slate and has a lot of color variation as seen from tile to tile in the picture. Suggest to ask for lot specific pictures for approval, after you have placed the order with us.

Would these tiles work for a shower--either the walls or the floor? I know they'd have to be sealed, but would I have to do it frequently? also would they stand up to that constant moisture?

We have see some clients use it, however you should know it has two challenges:

1. This is a pattern of 16 sft. For smaller areas the wastage / cutting would be more than normal.

2. The surface finish is gauged / natural cleft. The moisture will enter the clefts and flake it out over time.
