I just did this with some of mine on Saturday with the exact mixture. I planned on waiting a week to water but two sans seemed shriveled and had drier roots than the others. I gave them a small amount of water yesterday and they look better today.

No, wait (many say a week). Your soil is probably slightly moist anyway, unless you had the bag open for a long while. Your mix is currently what I use. I use well water most of the time. Distilled is good for plants that you water a lot or if you are trying not to over water in the winter. Of coarse if you have water with a lot of chemicals in it, bottled water or Distilled water is good. Distilled water is just H2O, so it will not contribute to mineral salt build up. Down side (and this depends on how much you use) Pure water will deplete your soil of minerals if you allow the excess to drain away. I don't use it all the time. You could counter that by adding liquid fertilizer every so often (generally not in winter though, plants use less of everything in winter)
