Hello and thank you for your interest in one of Allen Construction's projects. I apologize for the delay in getting back to you but I needed to obtain the info on this product from the owner, as they purchased it. The light is from Tech Lighting: http://techlighting.com/Products/Fixtures/Bath-Collection/Tigris-Mirror-Oval. The lighting comes from within the mirror itself, so it is backlit. I hope that helps.
