I use the same, and I spray on the leaves as well as saturating the mix around the bulb. I apply ever 30 days now exactly as the bottle says it works for that period of time.

The 2013-2014 I lost almost all of my bulbs to NBF, I had never seen them in my area but for some reason my must have looked mighty appetizing. Afterwards I pretty much gave up on growing Hippeastrum considering my collection was basically devastated. I lost so many cherished bulbs, many that aren't offered anymore.

I decided this year that I wouldn't let it stop me so I'm back!

Yep, soil drench works great - they are beautiful flies for macro photography though so that is something. I also find they are the only fly you can literally walk up to and swat with your hand to knock it off the plant and then step on it - they seem to lack the self-defense gene that says "get me out of here". I kill a bunch of them every spring here and then do a soil drench to try and make sure I keep the larvae at bay :o) Dan

Can you use the drench inside? The granules are for outside use (and not in an enclosed GH).

How effective are systemics on NBF? I've been fortunate so far, but need to read up on this.
