Need help with my fig tree

Hi there,

When I first planted my semi-mature fig tree a few years ago, it didnt take very well, so its growth was stunted and limited to a few branches. Now, from the main stem, only two seperate branches are growing anything on them. I was wondering the best way to prune this to ensure maximum growth. It does produce fruit, however, nothing edible as of yet. I just want to get this plant nice and healthy so I can eventually eat some fruit off of it! Sorry for the poor picture. Im in Melbourne, Australia and its the start of spring.

Thanks for reading.
