Guessing from the diagram that you intend to grow as a houseplant??

You will definitely need some sort of support,trellis They are very easy to grow depending on your climate.

I grew mine in s. florida in a SH where it outgrew it's welcome lol

IME they must climb and allowed to get long at least 7 feet .They are shy about flowering and the flower lasts less than a day .If you want beans it's necessary to hand pollinate and then requires processing to produce the flavoring You discover why they get the big bucks for it lol

I removed mine because it grew all over everything. In the same space you could grow a dozen more amendable orchids ??

There are some rather attractive cultivars in fact I recently bought a tricolored form lol It has an off white variegation as well as a rose colored stripe down the middle of the leaf I'm putting in the garden to grow up a cassia tree . Figure even if it doesn't flower will still have the foliage??

For a houseplant I'd check into some of the "jewel" orchids if you want vines or many other species if interested in flowers?? gary
