Bc. Hippodamia = B. nodosa x C. aclandiae, a primary cross, registered in 1908. This hybrid has stood the test of time and after more than 100 years is still popular!

I'll take more shots when the other buds open...

This is the same spike with several more open. The one in the middle is just opening. As it ages the lip gets lighter. This has the fragrance of brassavola nodosa and a lot more showy. There are 2 or 3 more spikes developing. It might make it to the show and tell table in a few weeks...
